Their love story

We are Mohammed and SAM, and we have never met a sensible Saturday we couldn’t complicate. In New York, that usually means taking the wrong train on purpose, splitting a bodega sandwich, and arguing over who lost the MetroCard while it sits in one of our pockets. We’ve carried each other’s boxes up four flights, waited through delayed appointments, and answered late-night calls that began with, “Don’t ask.” So we hung a lock where the traffic hummed below and scratched in the only summary that fit: “New York has eight million people; Mohammed and SAM still choose the same trouble.” Then we checked the lock twice, bought two coffees, and immediately walked six blocks in the wrong direction.
